What we keep. For each payment: the nation, flag, price, time, the X handle you typed, and the email address from your Stripe payment. The email is used for one purpose, telling you when your flag is replaced or your payment is refunded. It is never shown publicly, sold, or used for marketing. The handle is public: it is shown on the flag, in the nation's history and in the automatic post from our X account announcing your flip.

Who else sees data. Payments are processed by Stripe, who hold your card and billing details; we never see your card number. The site runs on Vercel and the database on Supabase, both in the United States. Your approximate country, from your IP address, is used only to preselect your flag and is not stored. We set no cookies and run no analytics.

How long. Flip records are part of the map's history and are kept indefinitely. To have your email or handle removed from a record, email contact@underwhoseflag.com from the address you paid with.
